comfort yourself with the knowledge that a) I did not vote for Nader and b) it's probably better that Bush gets to deal with the mess he's created. Otherwise, if the economy tanked under Kerry because of the debt Bush has run up and Iraq became an even bigger mess because we can't leave, Kerry would get the blame. Plus, with the Republicans in such control of the Senate and House, Kerry wouldn't get anything done anyway, and he'd probably get blamed for that, too. This is what I'm telling myself to keep myself from crying... That and the fact that Bush has a direct line to God, so things are bound to go to hell.

But God is a flip flopper! He told Pat Robertson going to Iraq was a bad idea.
Anyway, I liked the idea of nothing getting done w/ Kerry as President and Repubs controlling Congress. Now they'll just railroad all types of radical shit through.
Did you hear about some of these Senators that won? DeMint? This guy said that unwed mothers shouldn't be allowed to teach.
I'm beginning to think that Schwarzennager has the right idea: Call yourself a Republican to get elected, then pursue a progressive policy.

I don't know why God doesn't speak to me. I mean, I read the entire left behind series in a week -- that's over 4000 pages. I think I deserve a little conversation. But that is neither here nor there. I honestly think the whole political process is cyclical. The Dems dominated the legislature for years, and then people got tired of "Big Gov." well, after awhile they'll get tired of the Republican's "Big Business." In the meantime, I'm not all THAT worried about what the republicans are going to do in the meantime. The extemists will be balanced out. and a lot of those guys are just preaching to their ignorant electorate.
